[1] how do i get my laps free to show the mph  of the cars.

[2] tech Q;  what shape does the loop of wire have to be,
 how close can the wires be,  or how far apart can the wires have to be.

[3] can it tell if 2 transponters cross over the wires, are only 2in. or less apart.
 if the cars are going very fast.

I know it comes with the download, thought maybe you lost it... I would suggest reading it....  Bang Head

Answer to Question 1 - It does not show it. From the manual... http://www.rctiming.com/lapsfree_manual/contents/sec10.htm from this information from statistics ones average MPH could be calculated with simple math.

Answer to Question 2 -  It has to be the shape of a loop. Let me help you locate AMB-it manual for the question you ask.
